Music Weeks Millstatt

Dates: 12 May - 29 September 2024

Millstatt am See: The Music Weeks in Millstatt fill the historic ambience of the over 750-year-old church Millstatt with an unbridled variety of musical and artistic performances. Elīna Garanča, Rolando Villazón and Canadian Brass will all be visiting in the 2024 concert summer. Millstatt also offers a stage for exceptional young talent.

Bad Kleinkirchheim: The big music family meets in Bad Kleinkirchheim in mid-June. The 2024 line-up includes: Hansi Hinterseer, Claudia Jung, Sašo Avsenik & his Oberkrainer, Marc Pircher, Nik P. and the Nockis. It's worth travelling a few days early, as the “music hiking week” gets you in the mood for the event. 

International Choir Competition

Dates: 04. - 07. July 2024

Spittal/Drau: Ten choirs from all over the world come to Spittal an der Drau every year to compete musically in front of a four-member jury and an expert audience. To kick off the musical weekend, the Singkreis Porcia invites you to a welcome concert at Porcia Castle.

Under this motto, LA GUITARRA ESENCIAL is celebrating a festival of musical joie de vivre this festival summer. Five-time Latin Grammy winner TOMATITO can be expected in Millstatt am See, as can CARMINHO - the great voice of Portugal.

Nockis festival

Date: 19 - 21 September 2025

Millstatt am See:  A state of emergency prevails on the lakeside promenade when the NOCKIS invite you to their home concert! Days beforehand, they will be on the road with their fans during the NOCKIS week in the alps-adriatic region. In addition to the NOCKIS, Mela Rose, ABBAriginal, the Ursprung Buam and Sigrid & Maria will also be performing on the stage in 2024. 

Albeck Castle Concerts

Dates: all year round

Albeck: Castle concerts, theatre, cabaret and exhibitions in the house gallery are good opportunities for a time out. Concerts take place on Sundays (11am & 3pm). Performers in 2024 include Erlend Krauser, Daniela de Santos, the Kärntner Viergesang, the Wolfsheart Acoustic Duo and the Vokalsolisten Kärnten.

Feldkirchen: The ambience of the Amthof provides a wonderful setting for the more than 60 events organised by the cultural initiative throughout the year. These range from the Whitsun festival ‘Early Music’, the summer opera (2024: ‘Marco Visconti’ by Nicola Vaccai: premiere on 8 August) to world music, jazz, folk and classical concerts, children's and youth culture, tango events, literature, creative workshops and contemporary art exhibitions.

Hotel Ronacher, Bad Kleinkirchheim: An extraordinary musical cruise with the Weimar Comedian Harmonists kicks off the cultural summer at the Hotel Ronacher. The kick-off is followed by a concert in a class of its own with tenor Alexander Voigt and the two singing sisters Felicitas and Elisabeth Wrede. Kathy Kelly and the duo Pigor & Eichhorn will also be guests in Bad Kleinkirchheim.
