Tobogganing in Carinthia From the mountain to the lake on a sledge

The back of the Sportberg is transformed into a winter wonderland in winter. The Goldeck cable cars prepare a winter hiking trail (around 3 kilometers long), which takes around an hour to walk from Seetal to the summit. It can be used for tobogganing, but also for touring or for a winter walk.

The tobogganing excursion to the Wöllaner Nock starts comfortably. The Kaiserburgbahn takes tobogganists to the mountain station. From here, the summit of the Wöllaner Nock can be reached on foot in around 30 minutes. Tip: First enjoy the view and then the family-friendly descent back to the mountain station!

Toboggans are available for hire at the Intersport Rent Kaiserburg valley station, among other places 

Starting from the parking lot at the Maibrunnbahn cable car, a forest path leads around 4.5 kilometers uphill to the Unterwirt Hüttn. Around an hour's walk should be planned for the winter hike. The toboggan run is open daily from 16:00 for tobogganing. Toboggans can be hired from the Unterwirt Hüttn.

The Heidi Alm Falkert offers tobogganing fun for young and old. The groomed toboggan run is around one kilometer long and is located by the Falkertsee lake. You can toboggan here until late in the evening, as the run is floodlit until 10 pm.

If the snow conditions allow, the forest road that leads uphill behind the Alpengasthof Bergfried is transformed into a natural toboggan run with a magnificent panoramic view over a length of around 2 kilometers.

How to get there: Take the mountain road to Gasthof Bergfried. The forest road goes uphill directly behind the inn.

Depending on snow conditions, 0.5 to 2 kilometers of Hiasl's natural toboggan run under the Zirbenhütte are groomed! The toboggan and ski trail from the Hiasl Zirbenhütte to the Zirbenpiste is floodlit. There is free timekeeping at the Hiasl Zirbenhütte, which makes for extra excitement when tobogganing!

Tip: Every Friday there is also a toboggan race on the Hochrindl.

On the Turracher Höhe, the "Übungswiesenlift" valley station becomes an evening tobogganing venue. Every Tuesday and Thursday, you can toboggan on the approximately one-kilometre-long run from 19:30 to 21:00 under floodlights.
