The snow-covered slopes, which in Carinthia occasionally start on a gentle peak, are popular meeting places in the winter months. The sound of laughter echoes through the winter forest and the anticipation of a plate of homemade "Carinthian Kasnudel" is already high among guests on the way to the starting point. That's why the stop-off often takes a little longer. It's a good thing that there are several floodlit toboggan runs in the region, where winter guests can take to the curves even later in the day.
If there is enough snow, four varied natural toboggan runs are prepared in Bad Kleinkirchheim, which invite you to toboggan during the day and sometimes also at night. The way uphill is on foot or by toboggan cab. Toboggans can be hired at the Intersport Kaiserburg valley station and at the Unterwirt Hüttn.
It gets really atmospheric after sunset. On the Hochrindl, the run to the Stoicharthütte and the toboggan and ski trail from the Hiasl Zirbenhütte to the JUFA Hotel/Zirbenpiste are illuminated in the evening. Guests can also toboggan on the floodlit toboggan run on the Falkert until 22:00. Night tobogganing in Bad Kleinkirchheim includes the tractor cab, which takes guests to the starting point.
You return to the valley with illuminated toboggans and a guide. On the Turracher Höhe, the Sonnenbahn valley station becomes the evening tobogganing meeting point. Every Tuesday and Thursday, you can toboggan on the approximately one-kilometre-long run from 20:00 to 21:30 under floodlights.
Every Monday (7.00 pm) and Friday (4.15 pm), guests are picked up at the Hotel Kärntnerhof and taken 4.5 km up the mountain by tractor cab. (without a stop at the hut)
The descent is with a guide.
Price: adults € 18,- / children € 10,- (with the Bad Kleinkirchheim Sonnenschein Card € 15,- / € 10,-)
Rib-eating with tobogganing fun takes place every Thursday.
Guests are also picked up from the Kärntnerhof between 6.00 and 6.30 pm and taken to the Unterwirthüttte by tractor cab.
The departure including guide takes place at approx. 20.00/ 20.45 hrs.
Price: adults € 30,- / children € 15,- (excl. drinks)

Rails are artfully twisted into traffic circles and lead downhill over jumps, waves and bridges. Those who get on board hurtle downhill at speeds of up to 40 kilometers per hour on the winter toboggan run in Austria.
The ride in the Nocky Flitzer towards the valley station is comfortable and spectacular. The 1600-metre-long route, which leads through the snow-covered Zirbenwald forest, invites passengers to take another round through the traffic circle.

Carinthia's most modern roller bobsleigh run also takes you downhill all year round. The 1.4-kilometre-long track is an adventure for the whole family, especially in winter! Who can claim to have done a race with 100,000 snow crystals?
