Challenging mountain roads, valley crossings and panoramic lake tours, a gentle mountain world with grassy peaks and mixed forests that reach right up to the shores: The NOCKBIKE region is the perfect starting point for extensive road bike tours through Carinthia.
52 hairpin bends, which are often referred to as ‘Reidn’ in Carinthian dialect, 32 kilometres of road and climbs of up to 12% - these are the impressive key data that outline the road bike tour along the Nockalm road. In between, there are two ascents of around 1000 metres. Those who take on the challenge can also expect long descents and marvellous views on the tour.

Only a wooded ridge separates the Seental and Drautal valleys and this is quickly overcome on a road bike. On the tour through the Drau Valley, road cyclists then follow Carinthia's most important river on lonely mountain roads. Other road bike options are the Knappentour and the tour across Lake Weissensee. The two could not be more different: The Knappentour, a long, challenging tour. Among other things, it has a steep 18% gradient up to the Windische Höhe. The tour to Lake Weissensee, on the other hand, leads to a dead end, which provides a pleasant break. For the route from the eastern shore of Lake Weissensee to Neusach, racing cyclists take the liner.

20 lakes, trailblazing rivers, vineyards, orchards, historic castles and relaxed encounters: Carinthia can be discovered by bike in four days. Sometimes it's worth allowing a little more time, because the Carinthian Lakes Loop is the flagship route for leisure cyclists.

The Carinthia Cycle Marathon prioritises enjoyment over competition. There are two competition distances. The longer of the two is 106 kilometres over the Nockalm Road. The time is measured at neutral points on the climbs and the route must be completed within a specified time window.
The entire race weekend is accompanied by an extensive programme and other competitions on the bike.
