The steady hum of the cable car, the passing treetops of spruce, larch and stone pine trees and the gentle mountain breeze dancing around your ears are sure signs that you are climbing steadily higher.
And in the Nockberge mountains, it is often not far from the mountain railway stations to the summit. Starting points for a ride on one of the summer mountain lifts are Bad Kleinkirchheim, the Turracher Höhe and the Goldeck valley station. You can return to the valley the same way, sometimes on foot and very often by bike on the Flow Trail or on the tracks of a summer toboggan run in Carinthia.
