Ideology, a great deal of persuasion and enjoyment of the work were necessary to turn the extensive alpine meadows around the Falkertsee into a place for families, climbers, hikers and winter sports enthusiasts. Today, the Heidi Alm on the Falkert is both a mountain summer island and a winter insider tip!
Usually before the day guests arrive at the Heidi Alm, the long-distance hikers set off on the Nockberge-Trail in the direction of Bad Kleinkirchheim. It's worth allowing a little more time, as there are numerous hiking trails on the Falkert that offer magnificent mountain panoramas. Hikers who set off on a tour up the Falkert hike the section through the Sonntagstal valley together with climbers, who can look forward to exposed rocks and spectacular views.
In winter, a thick blanket of snow reliably covers the slopes around the Falkert. 12 kilometres of pistes, a magic carpet, wave run, rails, kickers and boxes provide variety for beginners, fun skiers and pleasure skiers. Alternatively, you can enjoy a tour on snowshoes or cross-country skis. A ski tour to one of the Nock peaks guarantees panoramic moments. Tobogganing can be postponed until later, as the groomed run at Falkertsee is floodlit in the evening.
Heidi lives on the Heidi Alm on the Falkert. When you arrive here, you soon realise why Heidi likes it so much on the mountain pasture. The family hike leads right through the children's adventure park. Over 100 figures tell the story of Heidi. With a bit of luck, you might catch a fish from the pond and sometimes the marmots Vroni, Beppo, Enzo and Ferri, who live here, come out of their burrow for a cuddle. The horses also like to be stroked and children can take them for a ride.
The alpine dwellers gave their names to two via ferrata routes on the Falkert with great views. The Falkensteig is a challenging via ferrata, while the Murmelsteig can be mastered with a little less muscle power.
The three shared trails are also very popular on the Heidi Alm. The Family Shared Trail is the ideal introduction for the whole family. The Enduro Shared Trail and the Spitz-Gipfel Shared Trail are perfect for advanced riders.
